In the 9th minute, Balazs Lajos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Trzenzalski came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilian Feteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balazs Lajos in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes Politehnica Iasi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Hungary's Major Barna getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilian Feteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Jan Trzenzalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes, Iustinian Vişoianu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Politehnica Iasi and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Politehnica Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Vişoianu to maneuver through the defense. Balazs Lajos did an outstanding performance 44 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-2 to the right of an irritated Emilian Feteanu in the goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Jan Trzenzalski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Politehnica Iasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Trzenzalski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Emilian Feteanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Politehnica Iasi's Jan Trzenzalski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Politehnica Iasi getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Anton Munteanu hit a great ball. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Jan Trzenzalski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Politehnica Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Trzenzalski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the game, Balazs Lajos threw the ball into play from the sideline. Politehnica Iasi's Stelian Encioiu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilian Feteanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emilian Feteanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Trzenzalski in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Trzenzalski's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Jan Trzenzalski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Politehnica Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Emilian Feteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Politehnica Iasi getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Marek Lamczyk hit a great ball. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Trzenzalski in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Iustinian Vişoianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Bakos Endre. Hungary played a much better game than Politehnica Iasi and deserved their victory. The Politehnica Iasi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
