CS La Libertad's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 30th minute of the game, when Rodrigo Lobo after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Sinsin's goal. Rodrigo Lobo was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Bavo Van Eeckhout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Valassiou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bavo Van Eeckhout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Valassiou in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, CS La Libertad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mainor Coronado to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Monge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Vanooteghem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when CS La Libertad's Nikos Valassiou in the 41st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bavo Van Eeckhout was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sinsin through an amazing save. The supporters of CS La Libertad booed when Sinsin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Clement didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bavo Van Eeckhout stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikos Valassiou's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Volio to make the kick off. Mainor Coronado charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mainor Coronado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, CS La Libertad's Mainor Coronado got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sinsin's goalkeeper Bavo Van Eeckhout, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CS La Libertad's Nikos Valassiou got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Vanooteghem received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ernesto Monge came out and tried to block the shot, but Emanuel Vanooteghem slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sinsin's zone, Miguel Volio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bavo Van Eeckhout came out of the goal and Miguel Volio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yoachim Dekkers kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Sinsin's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Lobo came free, but Bavo Van Eeckhout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Barrantes in the 87th minute of play forced Sinsin's goalkeeper Bavo Van Eeckhout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sinsin's Bavo Van Eeckhout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Lobo in the 90th minute of play. In the 95th minute Marco Ureña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bavo Van Eeckhout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Edmund Majkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The CS La Libertad manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Sinsin to win.
