Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramón Abreu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the game, Metin Tekin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 42nd minute of play forced PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper Ramón Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper Ramón Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. 61 minutes into the match, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramón Abreu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramón Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Metin Tekin came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wim Wilmes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ramón Abreu firmly grabbed it by the left post. 79 minutes into the match, PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper Ramón Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes.
