Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 7th minute of the match Puerto de Sagunto CF got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edu Gaspar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matia Climent, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matia Climent in the 11th minute of play. Porziano Marchitelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Florentino Checa in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Gong Yong Nan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 30th minute, Edu Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 32nd minute of play forced Puerto de Sagunto CF's goalkeeper Gong Yong Nan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco José Millán's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Italy's Gomberto Picozzi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Florentino Checa, made in the 37th minute of the game. Gong Yong Nan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richmond Van Glabeeke to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the game Florentino Checa made a throw-in which Francisco José Millán played forward. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco José Millán in the 57th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Puerto de Sagunto CF's Francisco José Millán nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Vittori made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Puerto de Sagunto CF's Gong Yong Nan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Puerto de Sagunto CF from getting a goal against them. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco José Millán in the 68th minute of play. 1-1 became the score in the 76th minute when Zaccheo Andolina elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. In the 89th minute Italy were awarded a corner. Siricio Liotta went to the cornerflag to take it. Sostene Vitulli made a great header on Italy's corner, it was just that Puerto de Sagunto CF's Gong Yong Nan managed to reach the ball for a save. Gong Yong Nan came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Sostene Vitulli. But to his dismay, Sostene Vitulli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Puerto de Sagunto CF made a substitution. Waclaw Czaplicki replaced Francisco José Millán. When the match was over Italy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Puerto de Sagunto CF throughout the match.
