After 3 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Ferraz. 4 minutes into the game, Ralf Engström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trojanskahästen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockets the free kick. In the 4th minute, Ralf Engström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Åkerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. João Adolfo Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Ludwig Molin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trojanskahästen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludwig Molin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Trojanskahästen's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Chaves came free, but Tom Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Rockets's João Pedro de Senna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tom Svensson. Tom Svensson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Trojanskahästen's Snæbjörn Kroknäsa got a free kick in the 36th minute. Toninho Terra's late challenge caught a Trojanskahästen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toninho Terra helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Terra. After a rather tough play, Rockets's Lucas Guedes got a free kick in the 39th minute. Elano Alves's late challenge caught a Trojanskahästen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elano Alves helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Elano Alves. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Trojanskahästen's Rocco Scocco was substituted for Stig-Åke Almkvist. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Róbson Messias to make the kick off. Gilvan Chaves hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes of play Rockets's Toninho Terra was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 58th minute, Toninho Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Trojanskahästen booed when Rockets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilvan Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Snæbjörn Kroknäsa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trojanskahästen's supporters rose to their feet, but Snæbjörn Kroknäsa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Adolfo Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Róbson Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rockets fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The audience was convinced that Ludwig Molin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Adolfo Mineiro was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Rockets's zone, Lars Vacker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Adolfo Mineiro came out of the goal and Lars Vacker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Rockets's Dorival Bittencourt got a free kick in the 89th minute. The supporters of Trojanskahästen booed when Rockets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Rockets players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
