The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Los Materos FC booed when Barrialito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Salvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th match minute, Barrialito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Salvino to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Slawomir Witkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Kabantais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Pedro Salvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the game, Los Materos FC's Tincho Palermo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Frasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 17 played minutes Barrialito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Eleazar. Barrialito AFC's Han Bin Yi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Igor Salvidor, made in the 23rd minute of the game. Lazaros Kabantais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandros Peropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th match minute, Los Materos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Salvidor to maneuver through the defense. Felix Frasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tincho Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandros Peropoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Lazaros Kabantais made a huge save. Lazaros Kabantais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slawomir Witkowski in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Tincho Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Frasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tincho Palermo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandros Peropoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lazaros Kabantais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Barrialito AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Salvino in the 52nd minute. Pedro Salvino made a great header on Barrialito AFC's corner, it was just that Los Materos FC's Lazaros Kabantais managed to reach the ball for a save. Lazaros Kabantais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slawomir Witkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Alexandros Peropoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Materos FC's Lazaros Kabantais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Los Materos FC's Filomeno Mendebal was substituted for Tincho Palermo. Barrialito AFC's Miroslav Klöser was substituted for Pedro Salvino. Barrialito AFC made a substitution. Conrado Txordon replaced Cecilio Rosio. In the 63rd minute of the match Barrialito AFC got a corner. Los Materos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miroslav Klöser ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lazaros Kabantais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slawomir Witkowski in the 72nd minute of play. Felix Frasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Mendebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aaron Molina came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Los Materos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Molina couldn't finish the play. In the 83rdth minute of the game Alexandros Peropoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Materos FC's Lazaros Kabantais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Alexandros Peropoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrialito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandros Peropoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Han Bin Yi hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Emir Dağasan kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Lazaros Kabantais came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Barrialito AFC's Miroslav Klöser. But to his dismay, Miroslav Klöser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
