When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sped through Sacronas Futbol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Santos Sidro. 41 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Stanislao came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Denis Stanislao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Denis Stanislao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After 51 minutes, Sixto Ted mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sacronas Futbol Club and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Sacronas Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Ted. Santos Sidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 57th minute of play.
