Danail Mitzakov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 4th minute of play. Belgium's Sander Dermaut managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Feliks Chwalkiewicz in the 12 minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Maritza's Casper Claes threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nencho Markovski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Zeng Jing Yue sent off a good shot on target. Danail Mitzakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 20th minute of play forced Maritza's goalkeeper Danail Mitzakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeng Jing Yue's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 26 minutes, Zeng Jing Yue made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Belgium's Casper Claes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Zeng Jing Yue came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Maritza booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Dervaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danail Mitzakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zygmunt Nakoneczny took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Casper Claes. Belgium's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeng Jing Yue in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danail Mitzakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeng Jing Yue made a kick off. Lenny Clocheret kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Maritza's Nencho Markovski. But to his dismay, Nencho Markovski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 65 minutes of play, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danail Mitzakov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maritza's Danail Mitzakov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Maritza from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute of the match, Edward Vanderstraeten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Danail Mitzakov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Lenny Clocheret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Nencho Markovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Zoltán Hubina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Zoltán Hubina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maritza's Danail Mitzakov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Maritza from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Pavlin Dzhegalski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pavlin Dzhegalski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danail Mitzakov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeng Jing Yue in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Maritza's Danail Mitzakov got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Maritza's goalkeeper Danail Mitzakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Belgium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
