The supporters of Germany booed when F.C Alex Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Răzvan Antoniu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in F.C Alex Bucuresti's zone, Albin Holweck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petruț Bălășoiu came out of the goal and Albin Holweck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. F.C Alex Bucuresti were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mihăiţă Aldulea took the corner. 26 minutes into the game when Adrian Dreifuss tried to clear up in front of the goal it happened that the ball rolled into goal via right pole. An extremely disappointing self made goal which led to 3-0. In the 30th minute, Răzvan Antoniu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C Alex Bucuresti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petruț Bălășoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petruț Bălășoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Jens Van Dessel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 5-1 in the 41 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in F.C Alex Bucuresti's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petruț Bălășoiu came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Bălășoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zak Soon went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Laurențiu Coposu's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurențiu Coposu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, F.C Alex Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Coposu to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zak Soon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeo Malcoci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Petruț Bălășoiu. Frank Sachs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-2. When Sven Krakouer fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Sven Krakouer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Răzvan Antoniu made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. Petruț Bălășoiu was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Albin Holweck capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albin Holweck really showed his touch with that goal: 7-3. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zak Soon's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes of play, F.C Alex Bucuresti's Răzvan Antoniu made it 8-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there!
