Benedicto Naelios short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Wilson Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Portugal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Benedicto Naelio scored to the left of an out of position Wilson Amorim, making the score, 2-0. 23 minutes into the game, Benedicto Naelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedicto Naelio in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Benedicto Naelio sped through Portugal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Felipe Barreto sped through Dymarki Wejherowo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cankut Wakabayashi. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Naelio in the 38th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedicto Naelio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cankut Wakabayashi was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Benedicto Naelio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Naelio in the 52nd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. When Felipinho Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipinho Amorim couldn't finish the play.
