If Marco Assendelft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henk van der Werff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 21st minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henk van der Werff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes in the game Szekeres Tamas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Takacs Tibor. Henk van der Werff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henk van der Werff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Balazs Lajos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Henk van der Werff quite easily take care of the ball. In the 45th minute of the game Szekeres Tamas made a throw-in which Takacs Tibor played forward.

The audience was convinced that Marco Assendelft's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 57th minute Marco Assendelft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frits Andriessen who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Frits Andriessen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fodor Daniel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to De hijgende Hertjes getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Marco Assendelft hit a great ball. Marco Assendelft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Hegedus Henrik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Assendelft in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Assendelft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vörös Henrik charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vörös Henrik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of De hijgende Hertjes booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vörös Henrik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Marco Assendelft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hungary were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing De hijgende Hertjes to leave the ground with a draw.
