In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Moisés Nóbrega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deodato Magliozzi made in the 70th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Porziano Marchitelli however managed to control. Zaccheo Andolina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Moisés Nóbrega made a huge save. Flavio Vittori came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Domingos Lencastre. But to his dismay, Domingos Lencastre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Severino Torcato replaced Joaquim Lustosa. Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes was substituted for Domingos Lencastre. Moisés Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Italy played a much better game than Gremio Viana and deserved their victory. The Gremio Viana players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
