Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Portugal's Viriato Moura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Viriato Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Domingos Lencastre tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Faustino Almeida threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gremio Viana's Amado Melo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 9th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Moreira to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match 苏景骋 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilson Amorim skillfully saved the ball. Gremio Viana's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 苏景骋 in the 11th minute. The audience was convinced that Domingos Lencastre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When Domingos Lencastre, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 16 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Wilson Amorim was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Domingos Lencastre made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Nóbrega having to interfere. Moisés Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moisés Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Joaquim Lustosa made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Domingos Lencastre. 33 minutes into the game, Portugal's Felipe Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moisés Nóbrega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Moisés Nóbrega came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Viriato Moura. But to his dismay, Viriato Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingos Lencastre was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Faustino Almeida in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Adalberto Leite. After having played for 51 minutes, Domingos Lencastre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio Viana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Lencastre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Graciano Coutinho got free with Moisés Nóbrega in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Domingos Lencastre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Lencastre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Lencastre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gremio Viana's Domingos Lencastre in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portugal's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Domingos Lencastre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gremio Viana's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Lencastre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Lencastre in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Domingos Lencastre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Domingos Lencastre made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Lencastre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes of play, Gremio Viana's Domingos Lencastre made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes was substituted for Domingos Lencastre. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Joaquim Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. 江飞正 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Moisés Nóbrega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolomeu Dias. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gremio Viana fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
