Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donato Venerando took the kick off in the first half of the match. Santos Eguen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Cristo Basajaun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ardiles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 16th minute of play forced Ardiles's goalkeeper Emanuel Jacob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Daniel Pimentel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Emanuel Jacob was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Caetano Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Jacob. Ardiles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Estevon got free with Wilson Amorim in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Abastas in the 25th minute of play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Venerando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Cristo Basajaun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristo Basajaun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 40 played minutes Ardiles got a freekick which was hit by Lino Telesforo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Moura in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Jacob prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd match minute, Ardiles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Indiana Jones to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 51st minute of play. Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Barreto in the 53rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ardiles's goalie and right to Faustino Almeida. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ardiles's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Cristo Basajaun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Portugal's Viriato Moura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Jacob. Emanuel Jacob yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Emanuel Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 64th minute of play. Lisandro Estevon kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. A collision led to Ardiles getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Lisandro Estevon hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ardiles's Emanuel Jacob got control of the ball when Bartolomeu Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Venerando went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Venerando in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Jones in the 81st minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Donato Venerando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-4. Cristo Basajaun placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 97th minute, Lisandro Estevon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ardiles's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
