Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caspar Motter in the 4th minute of play. Sakálok's Béla Hudák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 5th minute of play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when József Varsányi tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 10th minute of play forced Sakálok's goalkeeper Béla Hudák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caspar Motter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caspar Motter in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Sakálok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Péter Fitos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Máté Asztalos in the 19th minute. Béla Hudák showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Béla Hudák made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sakálok defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Béla Hudák. The Sakálok fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Béla Hudák should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Sakálok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Péter Fitos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Sakálok getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dávid Barta hit a great ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Hupach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Béla Hudák made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Sakálok's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Béla Hudák despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caspar Motter to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Sakálok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caspar Motter to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Béla Hudák in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, David Eikelkamp notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sakálok's Béla Hudák. Béla Hudák was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61st minute, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Sakálok made a substitution. Roland Csikós replaced Máté Asztalos. Sakálok's Ariel Bartoleme was substituted for József Varsányi. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Sakálok's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored to the left of an out of position Béla Hudák, making the score, 1-4. Sakálok's Béla Hudák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 82nd minute of play. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sakálok's Dávid Barta got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer broke free in the 93rd minute of the match and struck a powerful long shot that almost became a goal, but instead the ball went outside the right post. An obvious chance of a goal. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Béla Hudák having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sakálok.
