But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Galácticos del Pueblo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Merih Bengi in the 12th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute of the match, Merih Bengi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 18th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Roman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Roman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Murillo Cano tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Merih Bengi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Merih Bengi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roch Roman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roch Roman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 43rd minute of play. Efrain Ferman hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murillo Cano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merih Bengi in the 52nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Murillo Cano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galácticos del Pueblo's supporters rose to their feet, but Murillo Cano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Merih Bengi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roch Roman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Roman having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorden De Cerpel in the 67th minute of play. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, Galácticos del Pueblo's goalkeeper Roch Roman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorden De Cerpel in the 92nd minute of the match. Roch Roman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 95th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Galácticos del Pueblo were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
