Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Italy's Zaccheo Andolina started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Flavio Vittori successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Don Merlot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sven-Olof Lilja hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54thth minute of the game Don Merlot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Sigfrido Auletta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Timo Courtois quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sostene Vitulli got free with Timo Courtois in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberigo Sessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
