But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Drake couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Trojanskahästen's Benigno Urruchua sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raúl da Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Vladimir Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match Trojanskahästen got a corner. FIEL ALGUSTA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roger Josefsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Trojanskahästen's Benigno Urruchua in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benigno Urruchua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Raúl da Silveira made a huge save. Trojanskahästen were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after FIEL ALGUSTA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roger Josefsson took the corner. After taking down the ball on Trojanskahästen's corner Benigno Urruchua fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Raúl da Silveira quite easily take care of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Trojanskahästen's Benigno Urruchua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raúl da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Trojanskahästen's Benigno Urruchua got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benigno Urruchua was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Benigno Urruchua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FIEL ALGUSTA's Válter Rosado was substituted for Tiquinho Soares. In the 62nd minute, Benigno Urruchua made a precise shot to the right of Raúl da Silveira. Raúl da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. FIEL ALGUSTA's Raúl da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Toscano in the 85th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murillo Pernambucano got free with Kjell Sandström in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raúl da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Urruchua in the 87th minute of the match. Luís Gustavo Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Raúl da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raúl da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Urruchua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Trojanskahästen had played much better football throughout.
