Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xan Revillas started the match with the kick off. Jeraldo Ascazua kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oidor Castillejo during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sagrario Paniagua. Sagrario Paniagua dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sagrario Paniagua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Meesters succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Sagrario Paniagua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Sagrario Paniagua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 30th minute of play. After 37 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Oidor Castillejo. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Sagrario Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sagrario Paniagua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sagrario Paniagua was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Xan Revillas's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xan Revillas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Netherlands booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xan Revillas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cedro Villaelrriego during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 59th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-4. 60 minutes into the match. Sagrario Paniagua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 63rd minute. Sagrario Paniagua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes scored 0-5 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sagrario Paniagua, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 69 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Jeraldo Ascazua. In a very dangerous position, a player in CD Municipal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Xan Revillas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in CD Municipal's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sagrario Paniagua came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sagrario Paniagua. CD Municipal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sagrario Paniagua made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Lars Meesters sent off a good shot on target. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Sagrario Paniagua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Netherlands played a much better game than CD Municipal and deserved their victory. The CD Municipal players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
