Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 5th minute of play forced Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 9th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Celedonio Oliverios kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Oliverios came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso in the 17th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If J.P. Hauge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quique Wolf during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Esteco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quique Wolf to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Esteco's J.P. Hauge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zbyszko Szpakowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 29th minute of play. If J.P. Hauge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes Esteco's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 38th minute of play forced Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 48th match minute, Esteco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Boni to maneuver through the defense. In the 49thth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Lorenzo Boni was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Esteco's Lorenzo Boni got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P. Hauge in the 58th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Oliverios in the 64th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. After a rather tough play, Esteco's J.P. Hauge got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Esteco made a substitution. Samuel Claude replaced Celedonio Oliverios. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Esteco's Quique Wolf got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Claude in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. 3-2 became the score in the 93rd minute when J.P. Hauge elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Esteco made a substitution. Daniel Onega replaced Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
