The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 3rd minute of play forced Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Liu Xing Qiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 19th minute of play forced Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Liu Xing Qiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Coscia in the 25th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Malta in the 29th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Liu Xing Qiang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Erwin Jadamowitz came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erwin Jadamowitz couldn't finish the play. A well-hit corner resulted in Lars Meesters heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 41st minute Francesco Coscia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Serafim Malta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0.

In the 53rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. 62 minutes into the match, Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Liu Xing Qiang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. 64 minutes into the game, Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Serafim Malta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corrado Mancini, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Coscia in the 73rd minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Coscia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Erwin Jadamowitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Aldo Maiorano was substituted for Corrado Mancini. In the 88th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Liu Xing Qiang was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Liu Xing Qiang got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. When the referee blew the final whistle, Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Netherlands having more of the ball for most of the match.
