The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Wim Wilmes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 3rd minute. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claes Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The supporters of Cheetah Team booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Cheetah Team defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claes Caspersson. The Cheetah Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claes Caspersson should have stopped the shot. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Caspersson having to interfere. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Claes Caspersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Cheetah Team's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Claes Caspersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 34th minute of play forced Cheetah Team's goalkeeper Claes Caspersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claes Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Cheetah Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Cheetah Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored to the left of an out of position Claes Caspersson, making the score, 0-4. Cheetah Team's Claes Caspersson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Cheetah Team from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claes Caspersson. That made the score 0-5 after 54 minutes of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Cheetah Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Benett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sivert Nord kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Alex Ahlrot hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Kees Mooiweer got a throw-in 74 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lars Meesters. In the 75th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claes Caspersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Mellin in the 81st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Holmstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 95 played minutes Cheetah Team got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Benett. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
