Kléber Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Kléber Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Inter de São Paulo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Hungary's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Laércio Loureiro scored to the left of an out of position Fodor Daniel, making the score, 1-1. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laércio Loureiro in the 33rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. Laércio Loureiro scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Kléber Salles made a huge save. A collision led to Inter de São Paulo getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Falcão de Queiroz hit a great ball. Hungary's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 66th minute of the game, when Antal Valentin after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Inter de São Paulo's goal. Antal Valentin was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Major Barna could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Kléber Salles however easily saved by the left post. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Inter de São Paulo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Inter de São Paulo's goalie and right to Takacs Tibor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Inter de São Paulo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Inter de São Paulo's Jorge Carioca got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Jorge Carioca off the ground. After a rather tough play, Inter de São Paulo's Jorge Carioca got a free kick in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Inter de São Paulo getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Major Barna 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Inter de São Paulo's Kléber Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de São Paulo from getting a goal against them. Gerson Coelho scored 3-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerson Coelho in the 95th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Inter de São Paulo players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
