Agostinho Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Xesus Barrieta came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Raul Caetano got a free kick in the 14th minute. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Franciszek Lerych made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Agostinho Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jadymy Durś's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agostinho Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franciszek Lerych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Ignacy Sokolski from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Wilson Amorim's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Jadymy Durś's Agostinho Negri. But to his dismay, Agostinho Negri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Negri in the 38th minute of the match. Franciszek Lerych made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jadymy Durś's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. 40 minutes into the game, Portugal's Felipe Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franciszek Lerych made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Felipe Barreto scored 1-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franciszek Lerych, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agostinho Negri made a kick off. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agostinho Negri went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Faustino Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Andrzej Dobrowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Agostinho Negri sped through Portugal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xesus Barrieta in the 70th minute of the match. Franciszek Lerych made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Graciano Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xesus Barrieta in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franciszek Lerych saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Agostinho Negri put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wilson Amorim. 86 minutes into the match, Andrzej Dobrowski notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 89 minutes, Agostinho Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolomeu Dias got free with Franciszek Lerych in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franciszek Lerych made an important save on a dangerous shot by Graciano Coutinho in the 93rd minute. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agostinho Negri's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the Jadymy Durś players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
