Fabian Honauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nino Schurter in the 23rd minute of play. Lenny Clocheret kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Rogelio Montez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espen Steelers's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Montez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 32nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Espen Steelers's Nino Schurter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Casper Claes. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nino Schurter in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45thth minute Siebe Michiels beautifully dribbled past Espen Steelers's defense and it looked for a moment as a certain goal, but Fabian Honauer pulled off a phantom save to prevent the ball from scoring on his left hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nino Schurter to strike the kick off in the second half. Rogelio Montez hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match, Yves Dervaux got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabian Honauer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fabian Honauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 59th minute of the match.
