Arcadio Buendia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Meesters's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After 43 minutes Alzaga FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. After 47 played minutes Alzaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabino Jauregui. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Arcadio Buendia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Goretzka in the 57th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Adrián Czornomaz made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Alzaga FC's Pang Si Yan was substituted for Jiang Shi Shi.
