Pål Sefastsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes National Team Cape-Verde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. After 30 minutes, Fredric Melander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the National Team Cape-Verde and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 33rd match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vörös Henrik to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as National Team Cape-Verde's Fredric Melander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fodor Daniel. That made the score 1-2 after 34 minutes of play. After 38 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Boros Benedek. In the 39th minute of the match Fredric Melander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fodor Daniel skillfully saved the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Melander in the 42nd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. Fredric Melander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Balazs Lajos got a free kick in the 57th minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hjalmar Browald in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Hjalmar Browald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Finman in the 66th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hjalmar Browald struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for National Team Cape-Verde. National Team Cape-Verde made a substitution. Zair Hasa replaced Hjalmar Browald. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 73rd minute of play. Zair Hasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yin Yang Wei hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zair Hasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Zair Hasa scored 3-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zair Hasa in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Boros Benedek had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Hungary made a substitution. Balogh Bela replaced Boros Benedek. Alex Broberg hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The National Team Cape-Verde players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
