Beniamin Sakowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. GKS 1977 BEŁCHATÓW's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Balazs Lajos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Beniamin Sakowicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. GKS 1977 BEŁCHATÓW's Beniamin Sakowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Hector Osmundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. GKS 1977 BEŁCHATÓW's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Osmundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beniamin Sakowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Fodor Daniel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pankracy Lizewski. Beniamin Sakowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jurand Zawadzki scored 2-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. GKS 1977 BEŁCHATÓW's Dumitru Albulescu was substituted for Hugo Silva. GKS 1977 BEŁCHATÓW made a substitution. Giorgos Charisteas replaced Hector Osmundo.
