Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Perivaldo Eger started the match with the kick off. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 4th minute of play. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Zoetmulder having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Zoetmulder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike van Zeijl in the 13th minute of play. Mike Zoetmulder came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Lars Meesters. But to his dismay, Lars Meesters quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The De Pelgrims fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when De Pelgrims's Perivaldo Eger looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perivaldo Eger took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 28th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute, De Pelgrims's Perivaldo Eger dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Perivaldo Eger sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Huub Gerrits came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Zoetmulder. De Pelgrims's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Mathias de Ruijter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathias de Ruijter's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Arnout Reekers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike van Zeijl in the 55th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huub Gerrits in the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Huub Gerrits came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Mathias de Ruijter got a free kick in the 65th minute. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fu Peng Feng who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Netherlands's goalie and right to Mathias de Ruijter. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Netherlands's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 75th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder got control of the ball when Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 91 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Lars Meesters. After 95 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Erben Roelofs. Mike Zoetmulder came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
