Galsino Barba ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led León FC's Galsino Barba to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. León FC's Currito Torrente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 23rd minute of play. Currito Torrente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of the match. Currito Torrente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Galsino Barba could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Arnout Reekers however easily saved by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Iñigo Pedrosa made the kick off in the second half.
