Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Valdir Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Valdir Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Valdir Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Here Comes the Hammer's Valdir Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Valdir Velloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Here Comes the Hammer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Here Comes the Hammer's Tord Spetz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Willy Stieler in the 31 minute of the game. Gustav Larsfelt's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustav Larsfelt helped the player get up and apologised. Murilo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Valdir Velloso scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 2-0. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, Here Comes the Hammer's Valdir Velloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Eriksson to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Valdir Velloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Eriksson in the 67th minute of play. Murilo Maranhense struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Here Comes the Hammer. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Eriksson during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Germany booed when Here Comes the Hammer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a penalty for Germany! Here Comes the Hammer's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marko Persson in the 99th minute. The corner ended in Marko Persson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Here Comes the Hammer.
