Ademar Mendes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Kosin Sihotang when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kosin Sihotang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Marques in the 9th minute. Murilo Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ading Prabaya in the 12th minute of play. Ademar Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Kosin Sihotang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Putra Rewulu's Kosin Sihotang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Putra Rewulu from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Hardimen Radius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murilo Peixoto. Várzea F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hardimen Radius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Víktor Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. M. Andik Wilmansyah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joaquim Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kosin Sihotang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th match minute, Putra Rewulu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Handoko Subagio to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Kosin Sihotang managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Várzea F.C.'s Ademar Mendes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joaquim Marques received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kosin Sihotang came out and tried to block the shot, but Joaquim Marques slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Marques in the 53rd minute of play forced Putra Rewulu's goalkeeper Kosin Sihotang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kosin Sihotang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Barreto in the 56th minute of the match. Darso Sudarmaji charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darso Sudarmaji the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Putra Rewulu getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Darso Sudarmaji hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Marques in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kosin Sihotang saved Putra Rewulu from getting behind. After some careless play in the Várzea F.C. defense, Hardimen Radius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murilo Peixoto. The Várzea F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murilo Peixoto should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Joaquim Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Várzea F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Putra Rewulu the free kick. Joaquim Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Mendes. After a rather tough play, Putra Rewulu's Hardimen Radius got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Víktor Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. M. Andik Wilmansyah took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Murilo Peixoto. Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kosin Sihotang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Rubinho Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kosin Sihotang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Várzea F.C. made a substitution. Miguel Marques replaced Vivaldo Bueno. Benjamim de Moraes charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamim de Moraes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Benjamim de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubinho Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Putra Rewulu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
