CRUZ DEL SUR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Albertus FC the free kick. Elías Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Albertus FC's Jan Hendrik Weken shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 42nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Amato Heyboer but with some difficulty. In the 43rd minute Paco Cabedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Kamps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paco Cabedo to strike the kick off in the second half. Paco Cabedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ted Kamps came out and tried to block the shot, but Paco Cabedo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute Joeri Buys suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. J.P. Cruz's late challenge caught a Albertus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. J.P. Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes CRUZ DEL SUR got a freekick which was hit by J.P. Cruz. After 61 played minutes, Albertus FC's Jan Hendrik Weken shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amato Heyboer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Albertus FC reached it. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Belmiro Peñaranda hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Frits Platvoet. After a rather tough play, CRUZ DEL SUR's Jose Manuel Guilisasti got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jose Manuel Guilisasti hit a great ball. Amato Heyboer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Hendrik Weken in the 73rd minute of the match. Amato Heyboer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Schiphouwer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes CRUZ DEL SUR got a freekick which was hit by Aristeo Oquendo. Jelle Zijden kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Christijan van Asseldonk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertus FC's Ted Kamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Cruz in the 91st minute of play. Amato Heyboer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Schiphouwer, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 1-1. Extra-time would have to be played.

In the 102nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Amato Heyboer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 103 minutes, Edgard Schiphouwer made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. CRUZ DEL SUR's Amato Heyboer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Albertus FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CRUZ DEL SUR for a fine match.
