Rigoberto Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Winitzki in the 26th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Alejandra defense, Conny Stober kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Montez. The Alejandra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Montez should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Alejandra booed when Academica Pulheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alwin Korte didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Dietrich Heppner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natalio Angel. With a little luck, Academica Pulheim's Dietrich Heppner got control of the ball when German Fernendo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Conny Stober made the kick off in the second half. After 92 minutes of play, Academica Pulheim's Roman Biehlert made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rigoberto Montez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute of the match, Roman Biehlert got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rigoberto Montez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Academica Pulheim eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
