The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcin Dyczkowski got free with Betão de Amaral in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaw Kiepski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Betão de Amaral made a huge save. After a rather tough play, S.E. Cachoeirinha's Joaquim Freitas got a free kick in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wit Flis got free with Betão de Amaral in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fortuna 86 Szczecin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wit Flis in the 19th minute. The corner ended in Wit Flis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral did a great save. After some careless play in the Fortuna 86 Szczecin defense, Otávio Arce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marian Janoško. The Fortuna 86 Szczecin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marian Janoško should have stopped the shot. Marian Janoško made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Arce in the 24th minute of play. After 24 minutes of play, S.E. Cachoeirinha's Otávio Arce made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cachoeirinha's Joaquim Freitas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marian Janoško came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S.E. Cachoeirinha reached it. Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Marian Janoško played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Veloso in the 38th minute of play. When Wit Flis fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fortuna 86 Szczecin's protests and gave Wit Flis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of S.E. Cachoeirinha booed when Fortuna 86 Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wit Flis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Szymon Kluska kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, S.E. In the 53rd match minute, Fortuna 86 Szczecin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beniamin Makowski to maneuver through the defense. Cachoeirinha's protests and gave Otávio Arce a yellow card for diving instead. 93 minutes into the match, Iwan Smolarek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Betão de Amaral. S.E. Cachoeirinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iwan Smolarek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.

The S.E. Cachoeirinha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing S.E. Cachoeirinha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
