Spectators: 469 (Terracing: 352, Seating: 108, VIP seats: 9) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Teobald Traczewski made the kick off which started today's match. Zygmunt Gerlach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. If Antoni Psotka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Karol Modrzewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Socjopaci's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E.R. Caxias do Sul the free kick. After a rather tough play, Socjopaci's Karol Modrzewski got a free kick in the 11th minute. Marcel Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marcel Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Socjopaci's Zygmunt Gerlach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Paraibano in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Magalhães in the 20th minute of play forced Socjopaci's goalkeeper Zygmunt Gerlach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st match minute, Socjopaci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolek Fedosz to maneuver through the defense. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Piotr Bartoszek scored to the left of an out of position Fausto Ferraz, making the score, 1-0. During the 30th minute of the match Karol Modrzewski completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Karol Modrzewski a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 30th minute, Karol Modrzewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Socjopaci defense, Marcel Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zygmunt Gerlach. The Socjopaci fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zygmunt Gerlach should have stopped the shot. Zygmunt Gerlach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Socjopaci's Zygmunt Gerlach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Sanches in the 40th minute of play. Antoni Psotka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tolek Fedosz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcel Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Luizão Prata hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Piotr Bartoszek came free, but Fausto Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Socjopaci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartlomiej Kasprzykowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kalu Uche during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Socjopaci got a freekick which was hit by Kalu Uche. Marcel Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zygmunt Gerlach made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joélson Paraibano in the 74th minute. Hugon Knopek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tolek Fedosz charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tolek Fedosz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Socjopaci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolek Fedosz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Socjopaci's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Abreu came free, but Zygmunt Gerlach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tolek Fedosz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Ferraz having to interfere. Tolek Fedosz hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Marcel Abreu struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Zygmunt Gerlach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul. Joélson Paraibano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zygmunt Gerlach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.

S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Socjopaci's much stronger midfield.
