The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Célio Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. Cacá Maciel was a little too slow when Douglas Douglas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 55 minutes into the game, when Hermínio Rosado put in a rough tackle. After 56 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Rosado. Sipo EC's Cacá Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xande Xande in the 59th minute of play. In the 97th minute Benjamim Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Time Pipoqueiro eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
