Lobo Guará's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FSX UNITED the free kick. After 3 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Vianna. After a rather tough play, Lobo Guará's Maurício Vianna got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tito Ugalde charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tito Ugalde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Narciso Pinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FSX UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tito Ugalde in the 35th minute of play forced Lobo Guará's goalkeeper Vânderson Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Angel Andreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Batista in the 36th minute of play. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tito Ugalde sped through Lobo Guará's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vânderson Esteves. After 46 minutes, Odín Reole mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FSX UNITED and the Lobo Guará players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, FSX UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odín Reole to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Pinto to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Vianna. Xavier Angel Andreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chu Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pedro Luiz Simões fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lobo Guará's protests and gave Pedro Luiz Simões a yellow card for diving instead. Lobo Guará made a substitution. Rodriguinho Motta replaced Cristián Pavon. After 61 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Simões. In the 68th minute, Maurício Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vânderson Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Pinto in the 69th minute of play. Vânderson Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Pinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vânderson Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juliano Escuti in the 75th minute of the match. In the 75thth minute of the game Narciso Pinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobo Guará's Vânderson Esteves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 81 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Jailson Batista. 92 minutes into the game, Aristeo Cifuentes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FSX UNITED's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lobo Guará the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Aristeo Cifuentes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

FSX UNITED's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
