The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ahmet Vefik Hisar scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by A4p Dejani's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Egbert Nijveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A4p Dejani's Bogdan Stelea did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 36th minute of play forced A4p Dejani's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Mihălțan's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isac Mihălțan helped the player get up and apologised.

57 minutes into the match, Isac Mihălțan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 62 minutes into the match, A4p Dejani's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. In the 69th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Stelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 71st minute of the match. Wim Wilmes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 71st playminute. In the 82ndth minute of the game Luis Sampil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Eikelkamp got free with Bogdan Stelea in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The attack was good, but when David Eikelkamp in the 85th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A4p Dejani's Bogdan Stelea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save A4p Dejani from getting a goal against them. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Stelea having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, A4p Dejani could leave the field as winners, despite Netherlands having more of the ball for most of the match.
