Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 9th minute. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Chen Ao Fan sent off a good shot on target. Lu Rong Yi made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Germany's Adrian Dreifuss. Chen Ao Fan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 22 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. Chen Ao Fan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chen Ao Fan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Chen Ao Fan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chen Ao Fan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The throw-in from Lu Rong Yi in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Germany's Adrian Dreifuss. Chen Ao Fan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 36th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chen Ao Fan got free with Tommy Kahn in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th play minute Chen Ao Fan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tommy Kahn. 3-0.

In the 51st minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sachs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Karl-Erik Norström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kevin Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kevin Keegan scored 4-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Chen Ao Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Norström to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Karl-Erik Norström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Chen Ao Fan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Skövde AIK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
