A hard shot by Martin Crușeveanu from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got Arnout Reekers's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Aleksander Eriksrud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aleksander Eriksrud came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aleksander Eriksrud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Eduard Aplugăriței fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc S.Zaharesti's protests and gave Eduard Aplugăriței a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fc S.Zaharesti's Eduard Aplugăriței got a free kick in the 14th minute. Aleksander Eriksrud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Eriksrud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleksander Eriksrud came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Fc S.Zaharesti getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Kosmas Kirkos hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Aleksander Eriksrud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Fc S.Zaharesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Drăgănoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 34th minute of play forced Fc S.Zaharesti's goalkeeper Aleksander Eriksrud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aleksander Eriksrud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Meesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 谢峰建 to make the kick off. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Fc S.Zaharesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth McNee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kees Mooiweer made in the 68th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gijsbert ter Kruimer however managed to control. Fc S.Zaharesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored to the left of an out of position Aleksander Eriksrud, making the score, 1-4. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 谢峰建 went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 谢峰建 in the 75th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Aleksander Eriksrud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Aleksander Eriksrud made a huge save. Aleksander Eriksrud made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fc S.Zaharesti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Fc S.Zaharesti booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 92nd minute of play forced Fc S.Zaharesti's goalkeeper Aleksander Eriksrud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth McNee, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Netherlands players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
