Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Corazuli getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Pablo Di Stasi hit a great ball. Urbano Reyes came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Denmark's Mikkel Wulff. But to his dismay, Mikkel Wulff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Bortzaioriz in the 34th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amado Feliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Ivan Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 51st minute, Ivan Bortzaioriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52ndth minute of the game Bertram Svenningsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corazuli's Urbano Reyes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Bortzaioriz in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Corazuli's Amado Feliu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Urbano Reyes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Corazuli's goalkeeper Urbano Reyes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Nygaard. Gaston Urritz made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Pablo Di Stasi however managed to control. Corazuli made a substitution. Luís Salmeron replaced Bosse Houth. In the 74th minute, Denmark's Chris Nygaard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Urbano Reyes. Urbano Reyes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. If Ivan Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chris Nygaard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Urbano Reyes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Denmark booed when Corazuli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Elizardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urbano Reyes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the game, Theis Winther was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Denmark's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corazuli the free kick. Theis Winther kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Denmark left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Corazuli.
