An unexpectedly hard shot by Zakariás Somogyi in the 15th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Zsolt Gergely came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Zakariás Somogyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Adrian Dreifuss fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Adrian Dreifuss a yellow card for diving instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zakariás Somogyi in the 52nd minute of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Zakariás Somogyi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zakariás Somogyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zakariás Somogyi in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Germany booed when Újlõrincfalva LC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ákos Sándor didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zakariás Somogyi in the 74th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
