Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ivo Loureiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Ivo Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cipriano Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Micah Macdonald in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Demolidor de Campeões's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Micah Macdonald was slow to take the kick. During this time England's players had a chance to rest. The corner led England's Micah Macdonald to fire away a dangerous shot which Cipriano Catarinense despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Jerônimo Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demolidor de Campeões's protests and gave Jerônimo Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. Cipriano Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Micah Macdonald in the 33rd minute of play. When Murillo Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Demolidor de Campeões fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murillo Coutinho couldn't finish the play.
