Edgar Andrysiak made a great header on Demolidor de Campeões's corner, it was just that Denmark's Keld Paulsen managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Bertram Svenningsen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertram Svenningsen to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bjarne Kirkegaard's late challenge caught a Demolidor de Campeões's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Demolidor de Campeões fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 69th minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demolidor de Campeões's Cipriano Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 74th minute of play.
