After having played for 72 minutes, Costica Vladimiri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costica Vladimiri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romania made a substitution. Octavian Vaduva replaced Costica Vladimiri. Kania Gostyń's Rei Bolas was substituted for Remigiusz Kazanowski. In the 75th minute Eugen Nita suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Severiano Oliverio's late challenge caught a Romania's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severiano Oliverio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kania Gostyń's Severiano Oliverio got a free kick in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Kania Gostyń's De-Jesús Haaland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carol Stinga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romania were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
