Hüsrev Yaşar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of HHH's Hüsrev Yaşar. Hüsrev Yaşar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anıl Berk Erginay kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hüsrev Yaşar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, one of Hungary:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hungary. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göktuğ Yamaç to make the kick off. Balazs Lajos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hüsrev Yaşar came out and tried to block the shot, but Balazs Lajos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 60th minute. After 66 played minutes HHH got a freekick which was hit by Göktuğ Yamaç. After a defensive mix-up in HHH's zone, Balazs Lajos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüsrev Yaşar came out of the goal and Balazs Lajos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özkan Rafettin in the 79th minute of play. Hegedus Henrik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Hüsrev Yaşar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in HHH reached it. After having played for 94 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
