After a rather tough play, Sawino SA's Iwan Walczak got a free kick in the 5th minute. Wiktor Gniech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iwan Walczak during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes Sawino SA got a freekick which was hit by Iwan Walczak. In the 12th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 14th minute of play forced Sawino SA's goalkeeper Wiktor Gniech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wiktor Gniech made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wiktor Gniech in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Sawino SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwan Walczak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Wiktor Gniech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wiktor Gniech. Sawino SA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Meesters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiktor Gniech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiktor Gniech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 37th minute of play forced Sawino SA's goalkeeper Wiktor Gniech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wiktor Gniech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 42nd minute of play forced Sawino SA's goalkeeper Wiktor Gniech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiktor Gniech having to interfere. Iwan Walczak was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Iwan Walczak kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

52 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Lars Meesters nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wiktor Gniech made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Sawino SA's Wiktor Gniech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Sawino SA from getting a goal against them. David Eikelkamp scored 0-4 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wiktor Gniech, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Gustaaf Groeneveldt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Borys Hejza hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Sawino SA's goalkeeper Wiktor Gniech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. 74 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Sawino SA's Wiktor Gniech. Wiktor Gniech was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Borys Hejza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wiktor Gniech was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiktor Gniech having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wiktor Gniech. That made the score 0-7 in the 85 minute of play. Lars Meesters spun around in front of the goal 89 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Sawino SA's goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored 0-8 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wiktor Gniech, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Wiktor Gniech in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Sawino SA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick.
