Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taras Romanchuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Taras Romanchuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Fundação Marques dos Reis's Epigonoi Honjas got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fundação Marques dos Reis's Tiago Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Taras Romanchuk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fundação Marques dos Reis's supporters rose to their feet, but Taras Romanchuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Fundação Marques dos Reis booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustino Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Taras Romanchuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Portugal:s Wilson Amorim showed great skill when he stopped Tiago Ferreira:s penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Tiago Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fundação Marques dos Reis's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Bastos. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taras Romanchuk in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Tiago Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fundação Marques dos Reis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Taras Romanchuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taras Romanchuk got free with Wilson Amorim in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 46 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Barreto. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. Taras Romanchuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. When Taras Romanchuk came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Fundação Marques dos Reis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taras Romanchuk couldn't finish the play. Viriato Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Yao Bin Yun made a huge save. Faustino Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Taras Romanchuk came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Fundação Marques dos Reis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taras Romanchuk couldn't finish the play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taras Romanchuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Taras Romanchuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot.
