Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Agustín Tastzian started the match with the kick off. Wellington de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Tastzian came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Tastzian's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After 11 minutes of play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patric Isaksson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Barrenta SC defense, Lars Meesters kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patric Isaksson. The Barrenta SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patric Isaksson should have stopped the shot. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nariman Mansourian came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Barrenta SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nariman Mansourian couldn't finish the play. Patric Isaksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Barrenta SC's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patric Isaksson came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Patric Isaksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Patric Isaksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patric Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Barrenta SC defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patric Isaksson. The Barrenta SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patric Isaksson should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Di Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Di Marinho in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Di Marinho came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gilmar da Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrenta SC's protests and gave Gilmar da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Patric Isaksson had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Gijsbert ter Kruimer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 62nd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patric Isaksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Nariman Mansourian got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patric Isaksson having to interfere. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Patric Isaksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 68th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 69th minute of play. Nariman Mansourian hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Di Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Barrenta SC's Urban Stenman was substituted for Fellipe Lago. After 88 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Patric Isaksson made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Barrenta SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Wim Wilmes at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Barrenta SC. 1-5. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
